There’s No Place Like Home

I was asked just recently – “Where are you based now?”

I know what it meant – was I back in the Philippines for good or was I wanting to stay a little longer in the US and/or eventually immigrate there? I didn’t have an answer for that at the moment.

I can’t say I’m heaven-based because I’ve never gone there nor am I there at this moment. But I do know neither the Philippines nor the US is my home, even though I miss aspects of life in one country when I’m not in the other. Both are my earthly tents.

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. 2 Corinthians 5:1 (NIV)
