I’m Guilty But I Don’t Want To Go To Hell

1. God made the earth.

Genesis 2:4, 2 Kings 19:15, 2 Chronicles 1:9, 2 Chronicles 2:12, Isaiah 37:16, Isaiah 45:8, Jeremiah 10:12, Acts 4:24

2. God makes the rules.

Genesis 1:17, Leviticus 21:1-24

3. We are guilty of breaking his rules.

Nehemiah 9:29, Romans 3:23, Leviticus 4:13, Leviticus 4:22, Leviticus 4:27, Numbers 5:6, Romans 3:10-18 (See also Am I Good Enough to Go to Heaven)

4. We must either be punished (ie, go to hell)

Matthew 5:22, Revelation 20:15, Revelation 21:8

or look for a sinless proxy  to take on our punishment.

Isaiah 53:9

5. Jesus is willing and able.

Romans 5:8, Romans 6:231 Peter 2:22, 1 John 3:5, Acts 8:32

6. Put your faith in Him, and turn away from sin.

Luke 23:40-43, John 3:16-17, Romans 10:9, Romans 10:13

7. Read the Bible and develop a personal relationship with Jesus.

2 Timothy 3:16-17,

8. Tell others about your conversion in Christ.

Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, 1 Thessalonians 2:4, 1 Peter 3:15

9. You are going to be hated for this. (You could be  ostracized, martyred, killed…) But you will be happy and thankful for being hated.

Matthew 10:22, Luke 6:22, Mark 13:13, Romans 5:1, Acts 22:20, Psalm 31:24

10. When you die you’ll go to heaven. 

Luke 23:43, Romans 8:1, 1 Peter 2:24

  1. I like your list of rules…They are very true. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our righteousness before God. That is still so amazing to me when I think about it.

    Thanks for your comment. It made me realize that when I posted these I didn’t include bible references. I am including a partial list now (will need to add more in time as I come across the verses) so people don’t think it is “my” list of rules, but really, God’s. Thanks for the link to your site.
